The Oregon Trail School District received 26 applications for the
superintendent opening, according to district communications director Julia
Monteith.

Applications were due by Friday, April 22.

Beginning April 27, a search committee of 26 members, featuring community
members from Sandy, Boring and the Hoodland area – plus teachers, staff,
board members and administrators – was expected to begin reviewing the
applications.

The district plans to hold a first round of interviews during the week of May 9,
with a possible second round of interviews in late May.

Monteith added that an announcement on the new superintendent will likely
come before the end of the month.
