The historic Malibu Raceway, formerly of Portland, has found a new home on
the Mountain.
Local enthusiasts can get revved up at Skibowl Adventure Park with the high-
powered Malibu Indy style cars for adults and Sprint style cars for younger
drivers.
“We feel this new attraction fits right in with the theme of the Adventure
Park,” said Kirk Hanna, owner/operator of Mt. Hood Skibowl. “(It) raises the
quality of our guests visit with a top notch racing experience.”
Skibowl Adventure Park is completely redesigning its raceways. There will now
be two longer competitive tracks – one for the Sprint style cars and one for
the Malibu style cars. Racers will be timed on the Malibu Indy track with the
chance to have their record times posted on the wall of fame.
The Malibu Raceway will become the latest attraction to the park, which
features the Northwest’s only half-mile dual Alpine Slide, 40 miles of lift-
assisted mountain bike trails and more than 20 other attractions where the
visitor is in control.
The Skibowl Adventure Park is targeting to open Memorial Day weekend and
continue through September.
Updated operating schedules and pricing for all the attractions are available at
www.skibowl.com or call the information phone at 503-222-BOWL (2695).
